Do you have a proper hair salon or do you just do dry-styles?
Yes Love It! Hair is a leading city centre hair salon that does everything you expect from a typical hair salon. Our hairdressers are all fully trained and have between 5-15 years’ experience each in hairdressing. Our salon is a stand-alone business and we’re unique in that we’re one of the only photographic & makeover studios in Birmingham to have its own separate hair salon. This means we can give you a total make over before your photoshoot. See the hair section of the website for a list of all of our services.
Can I buy a photoshoot gift voucher for someone else?
Yes we have a range of gift vouchers you can purchase for yourself or as a gift for someone else. Please see the ‘Packages’ section of the website to see what vouchers we have available. Simply call the booking office on 0845 647 1000 to purchase a voucher and we will post it out to you.
How long will my photoshoot experience last?
Please allow 4-6 hours for your makeover & photoshoot experience from start to finish; from having your hair dry styled or wash, cut and blow dried, to make-up application, to your photoshoot right through to viewing your photo's at the end.
How many outfits can I bring?
You may have 3 outfit changes for the actual shoot. Feel free to bring more options as the photographer will advise as to what outfits will work best, and also what will compliment your friends/partners clothing.
What style of photography do you do?
We do everything from fashion shoots, to family, to funky to professional. We have a variety of sets and lighting to capture a range of effects to best suit your requirements. So whether you want something clean and crisp or loud and funky we can tailor it to suit you.
What’s the difference between a Deluxe and a Fashion Makeover & Photoshoot experience?
A Deluxe makeover experience includes a wash, cut and blow-dry in our hair salon, whereas a Fashion makeover experience includes a dry style hair service (so please arrive with clean hair). Both include professional make-up application and a photoshoot.
How long does it take for delivery of my photographs.
Any photographs ordered will be delivered to your home within 3-4 weeks. Canvas, glass or framed products will take longer and any images purchased in digital format can be taken away on the day on CD.
Why do I have to pay a booking fee?
For all photoshoot experiences we charge a £25 per person (weekdays) and £50 per person (weekends) booking fee. This is fully refundable if you turn up on the day on time, but forfeited if you don’t turn up or are over 15 mins late for your scheduled appointment. As we book a hair stylist, make-up artist, photographer and viewer for you and your party we hope you can appreciate that if you don’t turn up we still have to pay those costs so your booking fee would go towards covering those costs incurred by us.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes there is on-street parking right outside the door – but limited to 2hrs at a time. The best parking options are Snow Hill Station which has a multi storey car park or Great Charles Street car park, an open air car park across the road on the other side of Great Charles Queensway. How far are you from New Street or Snow Hill Train Stations?
We are approx. 10 min walk from both train stations (see Directions pdf on Contact Us page)
Do you have payment plans?
Yes we have a variety of options to pay. You can pay on the day or you can pay over 2, 3, 6 or 12 months so you can budget according to your finances with much smaller monthly payments.
Can I buy the make-up you use on the day?
Yes we use a London brand called New CID Cosmetics which are all available to purchase in the salon/studio.
Do you have disabled access?
We can cater for disabled customers. Please discuss your requirements at the time of booking so we can accommodate you properly.
Do you have Terms & Conditions for the photoshoot experiences?
Yes we have full Terms & Conditions on all of our photoshoot experiences which are printed on the back of each individual voucher. General Terms & Conditions are stated on the footer of this website. Please read before attending your experience day.
What are your opening hours?
We are open from 8am-8pm 7 days a week to cater for not only the photography side of the business, but also for working professionals who wish to use the hair salon before, after or during work. Our booking office is open 10am-6pm.
